Can anyone define the target market for mobile phones in general and also how mobile phones are promoted? Thankyou

this question is general. it need to be specific when it comes to a target market. some mobiles are targeted at business ppl, some for ladies, some for school kids, some for clerks, secretaries, some for entertainmet lovers etc. if we take SE walkman range it's targeted at mobile entertainmet lover who like to do a littl;e bit of surfing, want to use a camera etc. so in general mobile phones have different diff target markets. you second question... usually mobile phones are promoted through BTL communications. such as billborads, advertisements on certain magazine, POS materials, rarely they use ATL communications too such as Nokia ppl. they use TV advertisments, Advertise on Cable TVs, Web site advertisments and stuff like that
