mobile phones?

i am really confused about all this mobile phone stuff. I am getting my first phone next week but whats all this about unlocked phones and how to do get on to another network.... Also what is the best deal for a pay as you go lg kg800 (chocolate) phone....

1. urrrm sometimes SIM cards lock up if you enter an incorrect PIN three times in a row, then you are asked to enter the PUK (Personal Unlocking Key) - you get this from your service provider or it's sent with your phone (mine was - T-Mobile, yay!) Anyway, Nokia phones are best for first time phone users - that's what I think anyway. They're very simple and easy to use, and Can do lovely things. Hope this helps!
2. unlocked phones mean that any sim card from any network can be used in the phone. I have the lg chocolate in white and its only available on contract. The best one i found was from carphone warehouse online with a deal on 02 for 99p a month for 8 months (600 mins & 150 texts). I pay £35 a month and my 4rth bill, 8th bill and 12th bill I receive a chewue for around £90 back. havea look online for really good deals Good luck with your new phone whatever u decide :0
