How can I get my LG V phone to use a ringtone created using tonethis software?

I have verizon wireless and use the LG V as my phone. I have made a ring tone and sent it to my phone using tonethis software but I can't get the phone to accept it as a ringtone. The book says it will not accept any ringtone that is not purchased through get it now. Can this really be true

1. Verizon blocks anything that's not downloaded through them. If you get a data cable for your phone .....go here http://www.eforcity.com ...you'll be able to add your own ringtones whatever they may be. There's also a program called BitPim which works for cell phones. I use it for my lg8100. It automatically detects most phones, and adding ringtones is a snap. You can even edit or create an address book. http://www.bitpim.com So using both would be the best way to do what you want without having to pay $5.00 for a bad part of a song lol Good luck
2. If you can get the tone into a midi format, then you can send it as a pix message and it should work. How you come you get this tone in that format will the question though, but once you do then your email address to accomplish it will be : yournumber@vzwpix.com
