Smartphones?

Is it true that if you charge a smartphone to it's max b4 it first use..that you will increase the battery life? I am gettin a Tilt and I see comments about the battery life being low, but I was told since it was a smartphone...it is actually like you are training it. So the question is......If I charge it fully b4 1st use will it enhance battery life or determine how long my battery will last. Any other tips or pointer on how to maintain a long battery time. stand-by or talk

1. yes.. fully charge it the first time and for the first ten(around there i suppose) charges.. make sure you use the battery fully(maybe one line left, but not flat) before charging.. =)
2. Ella with the Tilt turn off the WiFi option and dont use bluetooth. Both of those are HUGE draws on that phone and if you turn both off it will help alot. My son has this phone and does carry a charger with him since the battery life isnt that great, its his only complaint about this phone.
