Can we make mobile phone softwares in VB .NET?

As I have heard that mobile phone softwares / applications are made only in Java. So is it possible to make mobile phone softwares in Visual Basic .NET?

1. Most definitely Yes! You'll need to visit microsoft.com and look at their development tools for Windows Mobile. That's right, you can code anything you want in .NET, but it's got to be a phone that's running the Windows OS.
